Berisik angin mencandai dedaun pohon randu. Langit masih sepi bintang.
" Tembang pertama, namanya Maskumambang.
" Tembang kedua, namanya Mijil.
"Eh sebentar lagi kamu perawan, lho, nduk. Harus tahu." Sanggah Mangun.
" Setelah Gambuh, urutan selanjutnya adalah Dandanggula. Menggambarkan hidup seseorang yang bahagia. Apa yang diinginkan bisa terlaksana. Punya keluarga, anak, dan harta yang cukup. Makanya, orang yang bombong atine, senang hatinya, dikatakan sedang ndandanggula."
Manghun diam sebentar. Seperti ada yang dipikirkan.
"Masih ada yang lain pak?"
Setengah terhenyak. Mangun tertawa kecil. Lamunanya buyar. "Ini tembang yang sulit nduk. Namanya Dura.
Satire senyum Mangun menanggapi omongan Kinanthi. Mana bisa dia menyalahkan anak perempuannya itu. Dia hanya mengatakan apa yang dia lihat. Kesulitan hidup mengimpit tiadak ada habisnya...
Setelah kita bisa bersikap durma sebaiknya kita melakukan pungkur. Artinya menyingkir dari segala nafsu angkara murka

The Letter for Helen
Dear Helen. . .
I wrote this letter just for you. Honestly, I don’t know why, but I felt I don’t have much time anymore. I love you so much, darling, because you’re my hope and I proud of you, Helen Keller. You grew up became a bright person, with your situation of course, you astonished by people around the world. You showed them that your deaf mute wasn’t cut the spirit off to catch the highest star in the sky.
I remembered when I was meeting you. You’re 2 years old and you look so beautiful without your angry, of course. Initially, I wasn’t sure that I can bring a miracle into you, but after Mr.Anagnos told your story and he convinced me, I’ll try as the best as I can do for you.
I was very happy to meet you and I prepared a special gift for you, don’t you remember? Yeah, D-O-L-L, the thing and the first word that I spelled into your hand. You look interested and imitated it quickly and clearly. I believe you’re a smart girl, moreover you locked me in the room after you hit me by your doll. Oh, my Lord. That’s made me little bit irritated you and I promised to change your rude behavior.
But, I was disappointed, your family let you ate from their plate with your hand. They deemed it the common habit. How pity you’re honey, you neglected by them in the wrong way. I can’t let you on your rude thing. I should brought you to the another place which anyone can’t spoil you. I know that’s very hard with you and your family, especially your mother. I know they’re very love you, but that’s not the way. I tried to teach the proper attitude, just it. In despite of, they let me brought you.
Did, you remember honey, you’re very angry when you came in the house. You hid under the bed until the night. Oh, I was very afraid. You wouldn’t meet me you weren’t dinner yet. So, I woke Percy up and you left underneath. you gave a signal if you’re hungry but you won’t meet me. I taught Percy to spell C-A-K-E, but you know? You’re jealous. Oh, it was amused me.
Since that night, we made a peace. I was so extremely happy. I can teach you everything and anything. Touching the nature, smelling the air and knowing the words, you have so many words on your memory. Oh, you’re a nice little girl, just two weeks I teach you, you became a proper lady. I believe your parents would proud of you.
But, I was afraid. I doubt of you, because you didn’t know the meaning of the words. I didn’t how to teach you. It was make me frustrated even less the time was over. Oh, Lord. Your knowledge hadn’t perfect. I doubted it will be back to your first custom.
When you back to home, my doubt was proven to be right. I wasn’t satisfied with that. But, there were miracle when I placed your hand under the spout and the cool water gushed over the one hand. I spelled W-A-T-E-R into your hand, hoping you will be understood what is the meaning. How amazing, you answer by spelled the word. I saw you understand. I saw. Oh, Lord. Thank you. That’s a miracle! Since the day, you learnt more, more words and sentences. I taught you many things in worlds.
Oh, dear, you got your scholar in Cambridge. You’re very proud of me. You became a popular with your situation. But I can’t accompany you again, honey. You know, I became an old woman now. And, my view, I don’t know, but it became worn out the last month. Don’t worry about who will accompany you, because Polly, our nice secretary, will accompany you going around the world. Forgive me for everything, sweetie. I hope you always on the God’s patronage.
Your sincerely
